Hubby can only teach weapons forms to students who complete the Yang Cheng Fu form. The weapons forms utilise the YCF form postures. So basically, if you don't know the YCF form you can't do the associated weapons forms.
I first saw Hubby's weapons forms back in 2007, and we all tried the 2-person cane form at bootcamp a few months later.
At home, he generally commits about 30-60 minutes a day to weapons work.
We recently got a selection of new weapons for me to try: cane, staff and straight sword. I know broadsword form, 2-person cane and half of the small stick drills.
The walking stick form is very appealing; weird, quirky and exciting. Hubby freaked people out last night with a few application examples.
