Cold...
Minus four degrees today, and still some people are out in sandals, short trousers and bare hands... pretending they are not cold.

Men in Black 3
This was one lousy movie.
Men in Black 2 was really poor, but this was actually worse.
The jokes weren't funny and the 2 lead actors looked so old and tired-out.
We switched it off after an hour and wished we'd done so earlier.

Moonrise Kingdom
We're big fans of Wes Andersons' movies but were so-so about his latest.
It was a bit dodgy.
The 13 year old female protagonist, in her underwear, lounging around for several minutes of screen time and getting felt-up by her 12 year old companion was not really appropriate.
Life Aquatic etc... much better!

Sigma 6 black belt? Huh?
It's pretty offensive to a martial artist that a management qualification provider issues so-called 'black belts' to office workers.
How ridiculous!
They wouldn't dare issue degrees, now would they?
A black belt is a martial arts qualification.
It suggests a comprehension of the basics and indicates stages on the journey towards mastery in combat.
Everyone above the age of 7 probably knows this... Except for the sigma 6 people?
Wearing a black belt or telling people that you possess a black belt, without the necessary (and expected) combat abilities is stupid.
Issuing a martial arts rank - out of context - to management personnel serves only to represent a contradiction in terms, and as such undermines any possibility of credibility for the management qualification.
It's like computer geeks bragging about how good their 'kung fu' is.... try that one on a martial arts instructor.

Hubby hates computers
Hubby used to work in IT, and now only uses the computer to update his website or for marketing his school.
To him, a computer is a tool not a toy.
He finds computers to be twitchy, unreliable, expensive and time consuming.
You will never find him with an iPad, iPhone, Blackberry etc.
He absolutes loathes computers; they serve as a necessary evil, and are only used to promote his business.
Social networking, twitter, facebook, blogging... business use only.
Every frustrating second spent on the PC is time that could be better spent interacting with real people, training, walking outside or the million other alternatives.

Working through my health-only tai chi instructor qualification
In our school we have some serious standards, and a commitment to high-quality practice.
The health-only instructor qualification requires a massive degree of work.
I know most of the partner drills now, and 3/4 of the forms, but my theory aspect lacks. I have a significant reading list and assignments/questions to answer for every book on thta list...
It'll take me a while yet to pass...
