I notice on films that nobody says please and thank you anymore.
In everyday life this is quite apparent also. Common courtesy has been replaced by "Get out of my way" or even worse: a complete disregard for your presence.
Many people drive their cars this way; with poor lane discipline and serious risks being taken in order to shave seconds off a journey.
